Ken Levine
Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
Ken became President and Chief Executive Officer of NitroSecurity in June of 2006 and serves as Chairman of the Board, a position he has held since 2004. Ken is a founder and partner in Brookline Venture Partners, a venture capital firm that specializes in high technology and media investments and is the lead investor in NitroSecurity. Kens expertise and passion lies in the field of sales and operations. From 1985 to 1998 he was a member of the founding and executive team of Cabletron Systems where he was Executive Vice President of World Wide Sales. Ken, along with his brother Bob Levine, led the sales efforts that grew Cabletron from less than $1M to nearly $2B in sales and created shareholder value in excess of $10B. Under the leadership of Ken and Bob, Cabletron had a remarkable run of 54 consecutive quarters of growth on the New York Stock Exchange. Ken attended a Masters program in Theology at Boston College and earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in 1985. back to top
Howard Smith
Director
Howard Smith is a managing director at First Analysis where he coordinates investment and research in selected areas of information technology. Before joining First Analysis in 1994, he was a senior tax consultant with Arthur Andersen & Co. Mr. Smith earned an MBA from the University of Chicago and a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a certified public accountant. back to top
Howard Stewart
Executive Vice President of Engineering
Howard Stewart has 25 years of experience in computer systems development, primarily on databases and algorithms. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with an emphasis in Mathematics from Brigham Young University and an MSBA from the University of Northern Colorado. Stewart has served as an Advisory Engineer with Lockheed-Martin Idaho Technologies, as a group manager and a Senior Engineering Specialist with EG&G Idaho, Inc., and as a United States Air Force officer specializing in satellite orbital analysis and computer development, where he received the Joint Services Commendation Medal. Stewart has received awards as the lead developer of Sage-ST (AdaSAGE), a government domain database and software development system used by the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Energy (DoE), and within industry. back to top
