NitroSecurity's Technology Ecosystem for Security (EcoSec) program was developed to provide an easy integration path to those network security vendors looking to increase data management performance through access to NitroView ESM, a robust system already utilizing NitroEDB to collect, correlate, and analyze very large amounts of relevant security and network data. EcoSec, an "Ecosystem for Security", provides an easy way for security vendors to boost the performance of their systems without needing to re-engineer a new core architecture.
To the customer, this means that a more robust total solution is available. Combining specific elements of multi-vendor security solutions (such as Threat Management, Change Management, Business Process Management, Asset Management, etc.) with a common, high-speed core architecture and in some cases a common user interface.
NitroSecurity's NitroEDB database technology is the uncontested performance leader in data collection and analysis, outperforming traditional databases by hundreds to thousands of times (depending upon the application). This technology has been used to develop a powerful engine, currently used by NitroView Enterprise Security Manager to collect a broad range of security events, log data, and network flow information. Within NitroView ESM, the ability to collect, analyze and retrieve data so fast has allowed NitroView ESM to make huge innovations in Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). However, the scope of information security is growing rapidly, and NitroSecurity realizes that no one company will be capable of filling all niches.
EcoSec—the Technology Ecosystem for Security—provides a framework for multiple vendors to work together, so that more developers can benefit from the NitroEDB architecture. The many advantages of the architecture are then made available to best-in-class applications and services: NitroSecurity continues to focus on core architecture improvements, and how best to utilize those within the context of SIEM; EcoSec members receive all benefits from core development while providing greater value to the total security solution.
There are several ways to participate in the Technology Ecosystem for Security:
